Academic Staff Induction programme 

WHAT STAFF NEED(S) WILL THE WORKSHOP MEET? 

  • I’m new to Northampton and I need to understand the implications and applications of regulations, policies and procedures
  • I need to know who to ask for help with policy issues

THROUGH THIS YOU WILL …

  • Familiarize yourself with the staff handbook through the identification of specific frequently used procedures
  • Discuss specific application of policy in practice, in response to real-life challenges and case studies

THIS WORKSHOP WILL DEVELOP SPECIFIC SKILLS ALIGNED WITH THE UKPSF:

MAIN AREA OF ACTIVITY: A4 - This session will prepare staff to support students effectively in accordance with University policies and procedures. (A4)

KEY CORE KNOWLEDGE: K6  - This session will enable staff to enhance their practice in guiding and supporting students. (K6)

PROFESSIONAL VALUES: V2  - The session will help staff to support participation, retention & progression through correct & informed application of policy to practice. (V2)
