THROUGH THIS YOU WILL …

  • This session will provide staff with an introduction to NILE (Northampton Integrated Learning Environment) which is used as part of all Learning and Teaching at Northampton.
  • Staff will participate in the event both online and in face to face to experience NILE from both the staff and student experience.
  • Submission and grading electronically will be demonstrated and staff will have an opportunity to practice this on their own site.

THIS WORKSHOP WILL DEVELOP SPECIFIC SKILLS ALIGNED WITH THE UKPSF:

MAIN AREA OF ACTIVITY: A4 - The session will take staff through the process of developing effective learning environments on NILE.
Staff will know how to support and guide students through their use of NILE.  (A4)

KEY CORE KNOWLEDGE: K4, K6  - Staff will know how to use NILE effectively for learning, teaching and assessment. (K4)
Quality assurance and enhancement will be covered through a module checklist based on the NILE quality audit. (K6)

PROFESSIONAL VALUES: V1, V4  - Staff are encouraged to focus in their planning on the student learning experience, meet the needs of different groups (V1) & to ensure that learning activities are relevant to the professional focus of the course (V4).
