THROUGH THIS YOU WILL …
The role of the programme leader is a challenging one, involving academic leadership for the programme and its development, including the introduction of innovation and integration of Changemaker themes in ways which meet quality assurance and enhancement procedures. It involves supporting students, co-ordinating PATs and representing the course to the University. This workshop enables collaborative exploration of effective and efficient approaches to address the challenges you face and devise practical strategies you can adopt within your role.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL DEVELOP SPECIFIC SKILLS ALIGNED WITH THE UKPSF:
MAIN AREA OF ACTIVITY - A5 - Whatever the particular needs & challenges identified by participants, Leading for excellent academic practice inevitably involves bringing others on board with developments, contributing to their professional development.
KEY CORE KNOWLEDGE - K1, K6- The workshop will involve participants in exploring the implementation of selected aspects of UN Quality Assurance &/or Quality Enhancement processes as they relate to issues & challenges highlighted by participants (K6) & in relation to their subject area (K1).
PROFESSIONAL VALUES - V3, V4 - This will help participants to ensure that their response to the issues & challenges faced by the programmes they lead is evidence informed (V3) and appropriate to the needs of the external context (V4).
