THROUGH THIS YOU WILL …
Gain ideas and skills for a 'menu' of practical L&T activities, techniques and strategies adaptable to your own practice & will develop your ability to provide effective learning experiences for your students. You will explore how you can draw on your own past experience as a learner and/or teacher to provide effective learning opportunities for students, and start to relate this to the scholarship of L&T in HE.
THIS WORKSHOP WILL DEVELOP SPECIFIC SKILLS ALIGNED WITH THE UKPSF:
MAIN AREA OF ACTIVITY: A2 - This workshop develops skills for teaching & learner support, focusing on teaching methods, activity design & the broader learning environment.
KEY CORE KNOWLEDGE: K2, K3, K4 - This workshop helps staff to devise learning, teaching & assessment methods appropriate to ensure student learning of subject knowledge & skills relevant to the course.
PROFESSIONAL VALUES: V1, V2 - This workshop explores strategies for student engagement in active learning (V2), & supporting individuals & groups (V1), e.g. through effective assessment, feedback, NILE sites & booklists.
SUPPORTING HEA FELLOWSHIP: D1, and as foundation for D2.

1 full day + 2 ½ day face to face workshops plus related online activity (equivalent to 1 day) – 3 days total
